K8
The CAN-Bus Keypad
Compact,
fully customizable,
water and dust proof.
K8 is a compact keypad based on CAN-Bus protocol.
The device is water and dust resistant and can be installed both inside and outside the cockpit.
It is fully customizable and proposed with a wide range of interchangeble inserts.
The keypad is available in two versions:

K8 | AiM EXPANSION
 Connectable to the AiM PDM32 and PDM08 through the AiM Expansion CAN Bus (go the the section).
K8 OPEN | OPEN VERSION
Freely configurable through USB, using the AiM software RaceStudio 3, it can be connected through CAN to every external device (go to the section).
K8 AiM EXPANSION FEATURES
K8 can be connected to the AiM PDM32 and PDM08.
It can be freely configurable as an expansion using the AiM software RaceStudio 3.
The pushbuttons can be:
MOMENTARY
The pushbutton status is ON when the pushbutton is pushed.
TOGGLE
The pushbutton status changes from ON to OFF every time the pushbutton is pushed.
MULTISTATUS
The pushbutton value changes from 0 to a MAX Value every time the pushbutton is pushed.
 
RGB LEDs
RGB LEDs are the best choice in low visibility conditions.
Every pushbutton can be enlightened in 1 of 8 different colors, solid or blinking, according to the configuration defined by the user.
AVAILABLE RGB LEDs COLORS
It is possible to configure a pushbutton for incrementing or decrementing the K8 LEDs brightness.
ADDITIONAL CONTROLS
In addition to the primary functionality of the buttons, K8 buttons can be setup for managing the AiM display connected to the PDM32/PDM08.
 
INTERCHANGEABLE INSERTS
It is possible to choose among a wide range of inserts available, with 72 elements easily interchangeable, you'll have the possibility to create different configurations with the same K8 keypad based on any needs.

OPEN VERSION FEATURES
K8, just like the new GPS09c or ACC 2, is available in "Open Version". This keypad can be easily configurable via USB with AiM software RaceStudio 3 for transmitting the data via CAN to every external device.
The "Open Version" can also be used as an AiM Expansion, without any issues or limitations.
The pushbuttons can be:
MOMENTARY

CAN MESSAGES CONFIGURATION
The status of the pushbuttons is transmitted at fixed frequency or/and when it changes.
The CAN messages can be freely configured, as frequency, IDs, baud rate, endian and contents.
The status of every pushbutton at the power OFF can be hold at the next power ON.
K8 Open Keypad can manage a CAN INPUT protocol, in order to give a feedback, trough the color LEDs, based upon the information received.
